Grass Fed Beef

Buy grass fed beef online from Irish award winning butchers and farm shop Pheasants Hill Farm, Northern Ireland.

At Pheasants Hill Farm we only supply traditional, grass fed rare breed beef - we do not use the modern commercial breeds of large continental beef cattle. We specialise in Irish native breeds - Irish Moiled, the native breed of Ulster (the north east of Ireland) and Dexter, bred from Kerry Cattle, the wild mountain cattle of the South west of Ireland.  These rare and traditional native breeds of cattle are 'thrifty', which means they thrive on rough pasture and can be fattened predominantly on grass or silage without concentrate feeds. Each animal is 100% traceable back to the Northern Ireland farmer who reared it and each animal will travel a maximum of 50 miles from the farm to a small scale local abbatoir. All our beef is dry hung for 4 to 6 weeks to develop flavour and tenderness.
