A bit about us

Pheasants Hill Farm is a family run free range pork farm located in Northern Ireland in the Strangford Lough Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.  We have been producing free range pigs at Pheasants' Hill Farm since 1997.  We now have the largest herd of Tamworth pigs in Ireland, and are dedicated to preserving the genetic diversity of this, the rarest breed of British and Irish pigs.

The hobby became a business in response to requests from local people who saw the pigs in the fields and wanted to buy free range pork. Soon we added free range chickens, turkeys and geese as well as grass fed Dexter and Irish Moiled beef to our range.    All our products are butchered and cured at our own farm and we sell them direct from our farmshop in Killyleagh, Northern Ireland, at our stall at St Georges Market Belfast every Saturday 9am to 2.30 pm as well as deliver them by courier to customers all over  Ireland and Great Britain.

Alan is a trained butcher and Julia and Janis are chefs, and we also run our own outside catering business for private parties and large scale public events and festivals (www.pheasantshillfarmkitchen.co.uk) as well as our specialist wedding catering business (www.ivycatering.com)
